Hope Integrated Social Development Organization
Founded in 2010 out of a vision to alleviate poverty and champion social justice, HISDO has grown into a nationally recognised organisation with active presence across Oromia, Addis Ababa, and Sidama regions. We empower the most vulnerable children, women, youth, people with disabilities, and marginalised families.
From early initiatives in food aid and healthcare, HISDO has expanded to address livelihood development, nutrition, WASH, education, and child care becoming a trusted partner for government, civil society, and international donors.

Since 2010, HISDO has consistently prioritised the most vulnerable, delivering transformative projects with measurable impact across Ethiopia.
Nutrition Response Reaches 1,020 Children
In partnership with World Vision Ethiopia, EHF, and Oromia Health Bureau, HISDO established 7 breastfeeding spaces and trained 305 mothers on IYCF best practices.
Urban Productive Safety Net (UPSNP)
World Bank-funded initiative improving the lives of homeless women, children, and elders through education, vocational training, and livelihood services in Shashemene, Hawassa, Jimma, and Addis Ababa.
ESAP3 Civil Society Strengthening (2022)
Strengthened citizen groups and government collaboration to improve public service delivery, governance, and accountability creating safer, more child-friendly communities.
People with Disability
Supported over 500+ people with disabilities through dedicated community centres providing wheelchairs, psychosocial support, and dignity-restoring services in Oromia.
PIP Project Launches in Shalla Woreda
175 smallholder farmer households across 7 kebeles are enrolled in the Participatory Integrated Plan project, funded by Woord en Daad.
