1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of hisdo.org (the "Site"), operated by Hope Integrated Social Development Organization ("HISDO", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Site, including making a donation, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Use of the Website

You may use this Site for lawful purposes only — for example, to learn about our programmes, contact our team, subscribe to updates, or make a donation. You agree not to use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it, or interfere with any other party's use of the Site.

3. Donations & Payments

Donations made through this Site are processed via our payment partners, including card processors, telebirr, CBE Birr, and Awash Bank. By donating, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

• Designation: where you designate a gift to a specific programme, HISDO will make reasonable efforts to apply your gift accordingly. If a designated programme is fully funded, oversubscribed, or discontinued, we may reallocate your gift to a programme with a similar purpose.
• Receipts: a confirmation and donation reference will be provided by email for online gifts, and on request for bank transfer or mobile money donations.
• Refunds: donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, contact us within 14 days at mail@hisdo.org and we will review the request.
• Recurring gifts: monthly donations continue until you cancel. You may cancel at any time by contacting our team.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, photographs, graphics, logos, and the HISDO name and marks — is owned by or licensed to HISDO and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and share content for personal, non-commercial purposes, but may not reproduce, modify, or distribute it for commercial use without our prior written permission.

5. Prohibited Uses

When using this Site, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including in donation or contact forms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the Site without our consent.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with HISDO.

Our Site may link to third-party websites, including partner and payment-provider sites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site, and inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. While we strive for accuracy, HISDO does not guarantee that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or completely secure. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HISDO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.
