Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about HISDO and how to support our work.

HISDO (Hope Integrated Social Development Organization) is a registered Ethiopian NGO founded in 2010. We operate across three regions: Oromia (Shashamane, Jimma, Buno Bedele, Adama), Addis Ababa, and Sidama (Hawassa), focusing on child care, nutrition, livelihood, WASH, education, and women's empowerment.

You can donate through our online donation form, sponsor a specific child care programme, or contact us directly to discuss partnership opportunities. All contributions go directly to programme delivery for children and families in need.

The Participatory Integrated Plan (PIP) Project is a 2025–2027 livelihood development programme funded by Woord en Daad. It targets 175 smallholder farmer households (1,050 people) across 7 kebeles in Shalla Woreda, West Arsi Zone, Oromia, helping families achieve food security and stable incomes for their children.

Our key partners include Woord en Daad, World Vision Ethiopia, the Ethiopia Humanitarian Fund (EHF), the World Bank (UPSNP), the CRDA Consortium, the Reproductive Health Association of Ethiopia, and the Oromia Health Bureau, among others.

HISDO is governed by a Board of Directors and operates under the FDRE Authority for Civil Society Organization (ACSO). We publish annual performance reports, maintain enhanced financial accountability and compliance systems, and undergo regular monitoring and evaluation. Transparency and accountability are two of our core organisational values.

We welcome partnerships with government bodies, faith-based organisations, international NGOs, and private sector entities.
